Im curious, are there any comedians here? Im a stand up comedian in my city, I do local shows several times a week for the past 2 years. I also do lots of improv!

I want to include this on my application. I wonder, should I include any references (venues I performed at and stuff)? Or would they just take my word for it?

Also, do you think my interviewer will ask me to tell them a joke :s

That's really cool! I'm no comedian, but if I were you I would certainly put it on an application. It is quite unique, I would say.

If you list it on your primary application (which you should), you have to include references.

Also, pretty much anything is fair game in an interview, so it's entirely possible they'll ask you to tell a joke... haha

Many comedians are....bad.... and many comedians can be (at least in their jokes) raunchy, inappropriate, racist, sexist.....

I'm not saying you are any of these things, but if I'm thinking them I would bet there are at least a few adcoms out there who are also thinking them.

Will they ask you to tell a joke? Absolutely

If I were interviewing you, I'd also ask about a time when you used humor to diffuse a tense or difficult situation and about a time you used it inappropriately or had it backfire on you.
