Hi all! I got an acceptance to MSUCOM and am going to visit the all 3 campuses this week. Macomb and Detroit have open houses this week, but East Lansing does not. Could anyone who's at the East Lansing campus tell me about a few things they like about that particular campus in terms of research opportunities, faculty availability, community service opportunities, student orgs, and fitness facilities? Any visiting tips for checking out East Lansing's campus and the area surrounding the school? I have never been to East Lansing (or Michigan for that matter) before so I would appreciate any and all tips and suggestions! Thank you so much in advance!🙂

Hey, I live in EL and could tell you some about the experiences of here. What did you find at the Detroit campuses? How was it socially?
Students seemed pretty tightly knit at both schools probably just because each campus only takes about 50 something people from the new class. While the students who talked to us at both campuses seemed like nice people, I would say that the Macomb group seemed more laid-back. I also noticed that nearly all of the Macomb students who were there that day had significant others or were married. I definitely got the family atmosphere vibe from there, but if you're single and looking you probably won't find your future partner amongst your class members there. The social atmosphere in such a small group would probably vary a lot from year to year so I would definitely recommend visiting those 2 sites if you are considering them.
