Any applicants this year with engineering backgrounds? Just curious. I usually see one or two in each matriculating class profile, but I can't tell if that's because there are only 1 or 2 that apply, or if engineering majors are just really unlikely to be accepted (due to the inevitably lower GPA and what not).

I applied to Penn, Cornell, OSU, MSU, and VMR.

Good luck!

There just aren't many that apply. Bonus though is that you'll be the only one to understand stress-strain curves and such in orthopedics, and you'll be able to fix the ultrasound machine when it goes on the fritz. -.- That's about it. Yay, engineering.

I'm applying this year with a BE in Biomedical Engineering and an ME in Engineering Management 🙂

I'm applying with a BS in Computer Science and Engineering.

Computer science and engineering?!?! Thank god the rest of us engineers will have you to make us look less geeky. Way to take one for the team!

Bio system engineering. Yeah engineering represent!

BS in aerospace engineering here! I currently work full time as a mechanical engineer (to pay the bills) and part time as a tech in a vet hospital. I've been working on my prereqs in evening classes but come January I'm leaving my engineering job to go to school full time and pick up more hours at the vet hospital 🙂

Yay engineers!!

I should add that I'm not applying this year ... Fingers crossed for all of you that are!

Yay engineering! I was a BS in chemical engineering myself, and another member of my class was an industrial engineering major.

Good luck to all those applying!
