anyone have experience with this?

in terms of the needle driver, what color do you use (blue or yellow)?

blue is 25mm while the yellow one is 45mm. the yellow one is for "bariatric patients" however on some training videos they used the yellow driver for the humerus and the patient was relatively thin.

i used the blue needle and had good bone marrow return however the IO became tenous and unsteady after several code meds. wondering if i should've used the longer yellow needle. the patient wasn't obese.

Ive done it once, used the blue needle and it worked out okay. I MUCH prefer the tibia if it is available...

just went to a cme on the ez io. their recommendation ( vidacare) was to use the yelllow needle for the humeral site in most folks.
the cfo of the company was there and let an er doc put an io in his arm in response to a question about how much it hurt. very impressive. guy didn't even wink. said the pain was 2/10.
