I'm really hoping someone can give some advice here.
I've struggled with ADHD my entire life. It was diagnosed very early as hyperkinesis (a time long before this was recongnized in the DSM). I struggled with Step 2, passed on second attempt, and just received a failing score on Step 3.
I was required to be formally evaluated during first year of residency and was diagnosed with ADHD. My work preformance has improved drastically with the help of medication. I have never considered requesting test accomodation, because I have been concerned that it could impact my future. But, at this point I really must question this decision.
Does anyone have experience with the accomodation request? Also, any thoughts on how this could impact licensing in the future?
