Any Extracurricular Ideas?

I am searching for any wonderful suggestions regarding extracurricular activities that are beneficial to a career in dentistry. I would like to participate in activities that actually matter, not just in extras that will enhance my application. Thus far, I have spent many hours volunteering in a hospital, shadowing physicians, volunteering at animal clinics, and participating in a volunteer hotline for abused women and children. I know I need to shadow several dentists; however, I am unsure of other activities that will both engage and benefit me. Thank you for the guidance.

Join the volunteer fire department...that's what I did🙂

Volunteer at your local dental van. Thats what I did, its a great way to get some experience because they will usually let you assist and you get to help provide free dental treatment. Its a win win
