Hi,

I was just wondering what my chances (as an F-1 student visa holder) are of getting into a DPT program, and if there's anyone else in the same boat?

I'm from the Philippines. I've been taking my prerequisite courses in the United States though. Any tips regarding applications? I've been having a difficult time getting observation and volunteer hours especially when they ask me for a social security number (which I don't have). 🙁

Yeah that's really tough. What I advise you try your best to do, since there's really no way around the system, is to first explain your situation. If not, then see if some friends of yours are doing any shadowing and get in with them that way. Because I know for me, I'm a citizen by the way, but am British.... I had great relationships with the pt's I shadowed and so any of my friends just by passed the system and walked right in. Email the pt's directly and skip all the paperwork!
