Any burn/plastics/vascular/hand/etc surgeons here that are well versed in the care of frostbite? I'm looking to get some CME on frostbite, and possibly put together a quick reference on frostbite for non-frost bite experts (or people that have never seen frostbite before). The goal being to have a collection of pictures, specifically of atypical appearing 3rd/4th degree frost bite to help identify patients that may benefit from emergent transfer to a center that can administer TPA or do other interventions that can save digits and such.
I've been looking online, and I have found a lot of the same pictures. And they're all the classic presentations of 1st/2nd/3rd/4th degree. And frequently don't show the evolution of the injury from initial through the first 24-48 hours. Was hoping someone that works in a cold environment might have a collection of pictures they're willing to share.
Can talk more through DM about my interest/motivation to do this. But would appreciate any help.
