Dear all, I was looking at some threads and everybody says to go on YouTube for PAT because there are a bunch of videos. Well I didn't find any that helped, especially on the angle ranking. Did you all find a channel or a person that was really helpful on the PAT section that you would recommend? many thanks.

^ This video made all the difference for me as far as hole punching. It breaks it down into such a robotic approach that it really takes a lot of the thinking out of the process and I've found that, just like he says, it works probably 95% of the time (it's not foolproof).

One additional tip I've found that works is that whenever you come across a partial hole (half hole, quarter hole, etc.) you can always just draw that in as a full hole because it will always end up being completed into a full one.

As far as videos for the other sections, I've not found them very helpful since they make everything so wordy (for TFE and pattern folding, for example) that its really hard to follow and takes the intuitive, personal aspect out of it. As far as angle ranking, I think practicing is the only way to get better. I use DAT Bootcamp's generator and use the rapid-glance (look back and forth between two very rapidly) technique and then just go on my feeling.

Thank you so much!! That's very helpful

I agree with the above poster. The only section that you can really learn and master from a Youtube video is hole punching. Everything else you just have to learn. I never even really went through the explanations after any practice tests. I just viewed it as a waste of time that could've been spent studying other material. Just work with all of the generators (you can phase out hole-punching and cube-counting once you're comfortable). If you can get 15/15 on hole-punching and cube-counting then I feel like you're setting yourself up for a good score. Angle ranking was the most difficult for me. People always say how the angles are easier on your actual DAT when comparing to Bootcamp, but that wasn't the case for me.
