Hi all, I am writting my doctoral thesis in Germany. My Prof. is a very experienced vascular surgeon. I meet him everyday in the OR or in the meeting room or in the ambulance. But I couldn't find a good topic to talk with him. Often times we just make greetings only. I don't feel good about it. Would anyone give me any advice how to begin the conversation and get familiar to him? Thank you!

who should perform TEVAR? vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists or cardiothoracic surgeons?

(i'm guessing he'll say vascular surgeons haha)

just heard something interesting posed by our cheif of surgery at the most recent grand rounds/m&m.... someone told the cheif of surgery that they had heard of nephrologists doing dialysis access/av fistula procedures on their dialysis patients (i think currently it is almost always done by vascular surgeons (an maybe the occasional general surgeon? not at my institution though)) would be curious to see what other countries think about that

Moving to Clinical Rotations. Residents/fellows can certainly answer there.

Edit: OP, what is your background? Are you in medical school?
I just got my medical master's in China, and now I am doing a promotion----Dr. med in Germany. My former director is a vascular surgeon, that's why I continue my study in the vascular field. I've already got the doctor's lisence in China, but the problem is that I don't have too much experience and I don't know how to be a good behavioured guest doctor in Germany.
