I took a leap of faith and applied this cycle although I knew all too well that I was very late. Long story short, I am going to take the DAT in mid/late October, and given my stats and how late I am in the cycle, what is the lowest DAT a school would likely consider from someone applying so late?

3.9 GPA, unfortunately all prereqs at CC though when I thought I was gonna be an engineer
i did major in molecular bio and kicked a** at Uni 🙂
Fl resident
1.5 years research
1 publication / 1 poster
Hundreds of hours of community service
150 hrs shadowing a general dentist

Sorry for the many posts today, I'm just really freaking out and feeling like I may have wasted a lot of money in apps this cycle. Please be honest though - is there any hope? Was it dumb to apply?? 🙁

I am exactly in the same boat as you. I don't care I'm applying anyways. If I get rejected I get rejected. And money isn't an issue for me. Probably gonna take DAT in mid/late October also. My GPA is even much lower than yours!! It's a 3.4...but no prereqs at CC though. Just do it....you have nothing to lose but money in my opinion.

I totally would have applied to tufts and BU since they are OOS friendly and have later (jan/feb) app deadlines, but I doubt i'd have a chance with my CC prereqs :/ That's a good attitude to have, you're fearless!! 👍 I wish I had a better outlook... it has only been a few days since I submitted my AADSAS, and I'm already wiggin!

I don't think you will be to late If you do well on your DAT. i think you might still get a couple interviews. good luck 🙂

Thanks 🙂 How well is 'well' for an oct/nov applicant? Idk about those 25+++. I'm cramming in 6 weeks!
