Ok so here is my situation,I've had bad luck since I started college. My freshmen year was my first year back at school after my father had passed away the winter before. I went in as I was living for the first time in a single parent family and my life was really hectic I really couldnt focus on school. Needless to say my grades were horrendous I'm not posting specifics but think the worst. I came back 2nd year hoping to do better and devote myself to school but then my mother was laid off from her nursing job of 14 years,my family was in a bad situation and on the verge of foreclosure and I started working 30-40 hrs a week to help out this cut into my school work as well and although I did slightly better it was still really bad. My question is is there coming back from a bad gpa in circumstances like this? I know I have the ability to do well and this semester I am devoting myself completely to school but is that enough or should I give up on being an M.D?
