Any indepedent pharmacy owners?

I'm looking around in pharmacy and haven't gotten any perspective from pharmacy owners. How long have you been around? Do you franchise with healthmart, or medicine shoppe? How do you advertise/get new customers?

I have seen a few threads on this before and I have inquired myself. It seemed to me that most people on here did not think much of indy pharmacy and thought they would go under and could not compete with the chains.

hello all pharmacy owners. i am new in sdn. i AM in processing of opening a new pharmacy in illinois.i should get inspection within next 4 days. i already applied for dea number ( i thought they should have background check before my pharmacy license) . so my question is what to do after i get approved in inspection. i know i have to apply for NPI and Ncpdp numbers and then insurance contracts. is that any way to speed up the preocess for new dea registration? could you guys give me detail information? i would appreciated.
