I was just wondering if anyone knows much about the training program at NS/JIJ in New York?

I know that they had a peds/PM&R program that closed down. As far as the program, I've been told several times that this program is very weak and shaky. You mainly rotate through Southside Hospital in Bay Shore and North Shore Glen Cove, which are small community hospitals. The program is not fully accredited and may be in danger. There are better hospitals in New York. Even a mediocre hospital like Nassau University has a decent PM&R program. However, there are many NY PM&R programs but only less than a handfull that are solid. LIJ is definitely not one of them. It's only a program that depends on its name.

Also Lij's program is headed under the department of neurology, which is good or bad depending on your preferences.
