Hey ,

I was wondering what are the requisites for an international student who has completed his bachelors in physical therapy in an another country and would like to start practicing as a physiotherpist in the US.like do they have to go back to school and all that stuff .

Thank you

I believe it depends on each state's practice act what hoops you have to jump through to gain license. I suggest you determine what state or states you'd be interested in practicing in and contact them directly.

Check out the American Physical Therapy Associations (APTA) website at www.apta.org and you'll find the answer. I'm not sure, but that's the resource to look into.

Good luck.

im also an international student.. i think you have to take an exam to be able to practice here then the hospital will give you a work permit so that you can stay here, then (if you want) you can apply for your green card...pm me if you have more questions 🙂
