Any Inspirational Books and Movies about Dentistry?

Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any great inspiring books or movies that relay the world of dentistry, dentists, and/or dental school.

I am looking for ways to probe into that world through A/V media since I have not had the chance to physically shadow dentists. Also, I love to read novels about medical doctors, watch ER, so I thought maybe there would be some books/movies like this on dentists.

Please advise.

I liked the Dentist from Nemo... but there wasnt much reality to it...

I liked Lethal Weapon 4, where Chris Rock, Mel Gibson and Danny Glover had good time on a Dentist's chair...

But there are a lot of Horror Films out-there that use Dentistry as an Evil or Cruel profession...

But my favorite is "The Secret Lives of Dentists"...(at this link) ( http://movies2.nytimes.com/gst/movies/movie.html?v_id=273385 ) A Comdey/Drama about lives of real Dentists... Worth checking out if you like this sort of thing.

Are you kidding? Did you listen to the fish in the first scene where they introduce the dental office? Those are some darn smart fish! What they say about the root canal is surprisingly accurate, all the way down to the cross sectional shapes of the files! I was impressed that the writers went through all the trouble to find out all that stuff about endodontics. Although the root-canal dialogue made no sense to any of the other people in the theatre, my friends and I were dying of laughter.

"The Dentist", inspirational? No way! I hate the dentist in that movie. That guy was wacko! Just thought about what he did to that IRS guy..😱
