Is there any Korean, currently residing in Korea, who is planning to apply for the advanced standing program as an FTD by next year, 2009? I am a Korean and I'm planning to apply the advanced standing program next yr. I was thinking it would be a great motivation and help to have someone who is in the same boat since I am all alone in this prep here in Korea. If you are in the same boat, please reply or PM me. I assume most of you are girls, am I right?
I mean I would have to serve in the korean army if I decide to go to a Korean school even though I am not a Korean citizen 🙁

well I'm a girl.
but I had classmates that were not Korean citizens and they didn't have to go to the army.. as far as I know only Korean citizens go. am i wrong??

They have a new regulation that all korea-born nationals over 19 have to serve in the army. Well, of course it only applies to guys.

Just out of curiosity, do they have lectures in English? or Korean?

I am a korean citizen, and I graduated in 2004 in Korea and I arrived this July, I also finished my military duty which means I am a male..

this year, I applied to UOP, UTHSCSA for IDP and some univs for PG program...
