Any medical podcasts similar to Joe Rogans style?

I know there's a ton of medical podcasts out there but they're all very formal I was just wondering if there's any relaxed/interesting medical podcasts out there where they discuss topics etc that may be beneficial?

I like to listen to podcasts while I study it seems to make time go faster but if I could get podcasts related to a topic i'm studying then that would be great, e.g if i'm studying Pharmacology and they're discussing maybe Michael jacksons death and the drugs involved but in a chilled manor.

So does this exist out there? I know there's the two ends of the spectrum when it comes to this stuff, super medical or just two lay people discussing something but is there anything you guys know of that's in the middle of this spectrum?

As an example, when I was doing musculoskeletal system I enjoyed to listen to workout/bodybuilding type discussions on training types which still included discussion on myosin-actin, Ca2+ etc

Or people talking about diet types etc while i'm studying metabolism.

Thanks 🙂

I feel like you may enjoy a podcast called Sawbones: a marital tour of misguided medicine

The episodes are pretty interesting and humorous quasi-historical little talks on a variety of topics. It's actually exactly in the middle of the spectrum you mentioned, as one co-host is a doctor and the other one is not.

*SDN disclaimer* (don't take this personally): listening to this podcast will not boost your USMLE scores, grades, or chances of matching into a particular specialty

Thanks, I'll give it a listen 🙂

this may not be helpful at all as it's not really a podcast (or maybe it is?), but recently ZdoggMD (or however you spell his name) started doing these one hour interview specials on facebook where he interviews guests from the medical world and they start discussing a bunch of different topics in a chill "Rogan-esque" style. Ive only seen the videos on facebook, not sure if they're available on another platform. I've found them interesting.
