I just have a personal interest and have a PM question to ask any MLB.com subscribers. So let me know please.

I was strongly considering this before the All Star break, but the Nationals have subsequently blown the division lead and are now battling for the wild card. I seriously doubt they will get into the playoffs now. Having said that, I feel like I am just waiting for the Yankees and Red Sox to battle in the playoffs yet again. At least, that rivalry will bring some excitement.

The Orioles are a facade, the talented Marlins are underachieving, and the Twins have decided to take a season long nap. The Astros may make in, but without Kent and an ailing Bagwell, they won't have the firepower to get past the Cardinals, and their poor offensive numbers support this. The Angels have the talent to compete, but seem lethargic at times. One day you get an A game the next day a C game and their division lead is shrinking. The NL West is a very poor division since the division leader is under .500 and played under .500 ball the entire month of June and still maintained the division lead.

The White Sox started this way a few years ago and lost in the first round, but I am hoping they will play well in the playoffs. Maybe the Sox or the Cardinals will challenge Boston or the Yanks. I am hoping someone arises in the playoffs to challenge these guys. Perhaps, Oakland, but they have a poor playoff record. I feel like the big boys are biding their time until another championship run.

Really, it is up to one of them to lose it again. Given the same scenario is highly likely again this year, I saw no need to subscribe to mlb.com to see the same "Run Down".

Also, I am still pissed about the steriod issue and the lame excuse MLB has for a steriod policy.

They ought to change the name to Drug Baseball since they aren't concerned about a strong policy. Take care and GOD bless.

UMMM........OK......I don't know how much that did for answering the question but.......Yeah...

If you ask it in the Lounge, you may get more satisfactory answers. Take care and GOD bless.
