it just doesn't seem worthwhile to rush through things, i might as well practice the questions and reasoning instead of just stopping early... I went over by almost 15 minutes on Kap test 1, and not just that I wanted to punch holes through walls at the end... the passages are so f-ing dense, some are as long as VR, the calculations need to be TOO precise, etc. etc... they definitely brought me down to earth though and showed some things I'm weak in... I wish AAMC had 20 or so exams that I could practice so I don't have to deal with this s*it... 😡

I didn't time myself...I used the Kaplan material strictly for content. You will find yourself going faster soon. Make sure that you do some practice that is timed though...good luck.

I remember the PS on Kaplan 1 to be especially difficult. It was the only section of any MCAT (practice or real) that I did not finish in the allowed time.
Take the other Kaplan tests and see how you do before beating yourself up too much.

it sounds like you might be reading TOO much of the PS passages. Honestly, with more practice, you will realize that a lot of the PS passages you can litterally glaze over, preview only tables and stuff to get the jist, and get right to the questions. Many times the questions can be answered without even looking at the passage.

I had the same problem, to me the PS passages seemed dense like you said, I struggled to read through them and therefore didn't finish on time. BY the end, I think you will get that hang of it, and will realize that reading all of the PS is a waste of time.... good luck!
