What?!?!?!
I feel young and I don't know what that means.
Yep, there are such jobs, I have one like that. 😀 But they are hard to come by, and you really have to prove yourself in some other setting first...
care to elaborate? I would LOVE to have a desk job or a job in sales. Anything but retail, ANYTHING!![]()

haha funny because if you have a job in sales, the last place you're going to be is behind a desk (unless you're cold calling all day).
I actually just finished one of my elective rotations at Humana/RightSource and encountered many different pharmacists (all who had different roles) with 9-5 (actually 7-3) desk jobs. Their jobs ranged from MTM, drug info questions, PA determination, and rx screening just to name a few. I loved it so much that I'm putting in a request with our rotation coordinator to try to get a second rotation with them!

yeah didn't catch that, it was 2am....i figured the topic was about desk jobs and that shc was under the impression that a sales job = at a desk.
yeah stay away from philly, all my sales friends are in NY/NJ, might be a hot area for you
Its all good. If you have any info on desk jobs or sales jobs please let me know. I am a little hesitant on getting an MBA at the same time b/c I don't know if I can handle all that during P2/P3 years...R you going to get your MBA too?
And a sales job at NYC would be a DREAM COME TRUE!. 😍
How's school going for u? P2 or p3?
P-2.... go for a fellowship after you graduate, I've got MSL friends at Novartis and GSK. Hung out with a buddy at Google NY and those offices are sweeeeet, too bad they don't hire pharmacists (though I could see a niche with pharmacy/e-records/IT if they pursue that further).
I'll probably get an MBA eventually, anyone know if an MHA would be a good fit too? I've only run into PharmD/MBA's.

Is an MBA really required for an MSL position? I thought you needed to do something in medical writing/communications for that kind of position.
