heey guys , , currently i live in Orlando ,FL ,and im taking my pre-requisties at valencia cc , im confused about applying to pharm school in FAMU or UF ?? ,
i know that FAMU doesnt require the PCAT ,and their pre-requisties are less than the UF .
what about the UF satellite program in orlando ?? is it the same thing if i got my pharmD online when u have a job interview rather than go to campus ??

Just as a word of caution - make sure you go and visit each program. I really wanted to go to UFs school of pharmacy, until I was a student at UF and worked at Shands hospital.

For me, it was a question of student interactions and focus. The school was excellent, but not a good fit for me. Pharmacy is a big investment of time and money, take the time to make an informed decision.

I was told that UF was extremely impersonal and competitive. That is not the case at all. The faculty is very willing to help the students and the students are willing to help each other. I know I made the right choice for me by attending UF. If you have any questions then feel free to ask!

I took the majority of my prereqs at FSU and a few of them at community colleges. The admissions process really wasn't that bad. I filled out the supplemental application in Sept/Oct (I don't remember), received an interview invite in late Nov/early Dec, interviewed in early Dec and received my acceptance a couple weeks later. My interview was relaxed although the rest of us were extremely nervous. I really didn't have any problems.

I had around a 3.5 GPA and an 86 PCAT. I believed what helped was that I had several extracurriculars and varied pharmacy experiences.
