I was wondering if any current MSU COM students from out of state have had luck/bad luck in terms of gaining in-state tuition in their second year. thanks!

I talked to Kathie Schaffer (the admissions lady) about this and she said that MSU is very strict about their in-state/out-of-state policy. If you're classified as an out-of-state student the first year, you'll be an out-of-state student for the remaining three years. So it's highly unlikely that you'll gain an in-state tuition during your second year.

thank you. that is very useful (not-so-good) news.

I'll be visiting there monday so I will definitely keep that in mind.

Thanks again!
