Currently working as a pharmacy manager. I'm looking for a career change. Does anyone know any physician assistant or nurse practitioner program that allows me to do mostly online learning while still working full time as a pharmacist?

Here is a online NP program

The only thing is for clinical rotations, you will probably attend in person.

My wife did an online NP program through Chamberlain. The "classroom" stuff was difficult for her due to tons of busy work and she had to quit her job for her clinicals, which you will have to arrange your own, because she was expected to do basically 40 hours per week onsite.

I'm concern about not being to complete the clinical components. I can only devote 20 hours/week. I cant step down from full time because I have 2 house mortgages and student loans.

are you already a RN? if not, you can't go to NP school (unless I am missing something)

I believe Vanderbilt University is the only one that offers direct NP. You just need a bachelors degree, no BSN required. However, it is not online.

never knew that was an option - a heck of an expensive nursing degree thou

That will be impossible. Plus you'll have to find your own sites. My wife had to have a set number of direct patient care hours to complete her rotations... and as I mentioned before, you have to find your own especially if you're doing an online program. Even some established colleges in my area don't get rotation sites for their own students. There are also large hospitals that have places contracted for their own students and the practice sites are not allowed to accept any student outside that university.

Hi
I am an rph, currently doing an online bsn program.

Don’t do them. They will be just as bad as pharmacy. NPs are already producing dime a dozen.

Aren't PAs going through the same route as Pharmacy. A quick google search shows that there are 268 PA programs in the US. Lurking through some PA forums many students are having trouble finding jobs even in rural areas. NP are being preferred over PA due to some states allowing them to practice independently.
