Any PA's that went back to medical school?

I'm working on preparing for my MCAT now and hoping to take it this winter. I will start the application process, hopefully after a solid MCAT score. That's if Physic's isn't the end of me. What would you say is a good MCAT score to shoot for?

Any advice on the application process? Or how you feel your PA education helped while attending med school?

Thanks!

I think you'd see more response to your questions in the NP/PA forum. There are a a lot more PA's/former PA's hanging around over there (N.B. I am not a PA.)

To answer your question re: MCAT...it's complicated. What's your cGPA/sGPA, where would you like to apply, etc. I live in California and want to go to UCLA/UCI/USC in a perfect world. A "good" MCAT for me is at or above the median for matriculating students of those schools, something in the 33-35 range. I grew up in Mississippi, and if I had stayed there and went to UMC, a "good" MCAT score would have been a good bit lower. I highly recommend the MSAR (google "AAMC MSAR") for this type of demographic information for your target schools.

The "Search This Forum" function is also your friend if you're starting out around the forums.
