Ok so my app has not been verified yet, and I have my state schools already paid for...but I have not completely decided on the other schools and I am also waiting for MCAT scores (jul 15th). So I was thinking maybe I might as well wait for my MCAT scores to come out since my app has not been verified, and I think it will probly be verified in a week. So what should I do???

If you had your MCAT score in hand, I would say that you should definitely add your other schools now. Several schools send out secondary applications before the AMCAS application is verified, and it would give you more time to work on at least some of your secondaries.

Since you don't have your MCAT score yet, I would say that you should should only add schools now if your practice scores were consistently competitive for the schools you are planning to apply to (30+ in general, 35+ for top tiers). If your practice scores were lower or tended to fluctuate, you should probably wait so that you don't waste money applying to schools that are too competitive for your score.

I have a previous MCAT score...so would it be a good idea to submit some schools then?

Most if not all of the schools that send secondaries out before AMCAS verification do not screen, so your old MCAT score shouldn't help or hurt you before your application is verified. That being said, I would still use your expected score from your pending MCAT to decide if you should send the application to more schools right away. Expect it to be high? Send them now. Not sure what to expect? Then don't.

I'm not sure.

add the schools. i submitted my AMCAS yesterday with all the schools listed already. my AMCAS won't be verified for a few weeks, but GW already sent me their secondary. in fact, they sent me their secondary like 2 hours after I hit submit on the AMCAS app.
