So I was just curious to see if anyone has been rejected after interviewing. I only know of people getting rejected pre-interview.
I was wait-listed at DMU. It feels like a pseudo rejection.
I do not feel I actually said "why" I wanted to attend DMU. My stats where on par with people getting in, I just feel I did not display the passion that it was my #1 choice (even though it wasn't). Schools not only want you to be competitive, but they want to know they you really want to be there - not just blindly apply.
SMU and AZPOD are my #1, and #2. I just did the SMU interview, I felt a lot more lively, prepared and comfortable. I had better thought-out responses to questions, and had a lot more research on the school I was able to draw upon. I really hope I see a positive email next week.
I will put forward that same effort on AZPod next week.
In most cases if interviewed you have your foot half way in the door, its on you to seal the deal. After reflecting DMU interview I did not seal the deal, and neglected to provide the personal depth I think I could offer a school through my responses.

Hey I was just wondering what kind of questions they asked at your SMU interview, I have mine in a few weeks!
Damn dude, that sucks! By any chance did you ask them for feedback after rejections? do you know why the didn't accept you? I thought an interview invite means you are 90% accepted.Wait listed dmu ( I view as polite rejection) and outright rejection at azpod so yes it does happen. DMU was my first interview so might have not been the most prepared AZPod I though did well but what ever

For my stats, 2.9 c+sGPA (I will admit that is on their lower end) 31Q MCAT. I was just told the interview did not go well, and that is it. it was a closed file interview and they did ask bizarre questions such as "do teach kids cursive or how to type on the keyboard" or "emphasize face+twitter or face to face talk" I tried to play those questions as balanced approach. The other thing too is they are only taking 30 people, so they can be really picky and I do not blame them. At least I was able to just burn miles and hotel points to go from Chicago to glendale so it did not really cost anything to fly there and then drove to vegas for 2 days so it was not a total loss.
When did you interview for both and what are your stats? Did you try any of the bigger schools?
Interviewed at all the schools other than CSPM and Barry got into all of them except AZ and DMU, going to temple (12K scholarship to boot)When did you interview for both and what are your stats? Did you try any of the bigger schools?
Wow those questions are bizarre. Arizona only takes 30... Wow very selective. I didn't end up interviewing at Chicago but I wider how those questions were.
