Any programs require Step II scores for interview?

So I'm currently thinking that I might defer taking step II until December or so, since I did very well on step I and wouldn't want to risk a lower score on step II.

Anyone know if there are programs out there that insist on having both step I and step II scores available for ERAS or by the time of the interview?

I ran into one program (out of 16) that wanted a Step II score to rank, and I think this was more clerical than anything. Never was asked about lack of Step II on the interview trail.

I didn't encounter any programs that required step 2 for interview or the match but I was asked about it (had I taken it yet, what was the score) on a couple of interviews.

If you take Step II in December, your results will be available before Match Day. You can always check the ERAS box that allows you to decide after you get the Step II score if you want to release the score. That way you can take it when you want and not release it if you drop.

UAB flat out told me they valued step 2 more than step 1. The PD also said that they would question why students would not take step 2 before the interview.

I disagree, but that is what he told me when I rotated there.
