I was just remembering all of the questions I had this time last year. I received lots of good advice from SDN so I thought I'd return the favor.

It's been awesome so far!! I couldn't have picked a better school for me.

OU is my first choice (see post in osteo forum) but I have not had any interview invites yet. I have been accepted to both MD and DO but I really want OU. I have been instructed to call the dir of admissions - do you think this will help? Thanks for the feedback

OU ended up being the last school that I declined their acceptance - there were a lot of things that I liked about that school. One of those qualities was the director of admissions. I had met him and talked to him on several occassions before interviewing there. My opinion is that he would be more than willing to field your call. Also, I didn't really hear anything from them until about this time in Nov. last year and then all the sudden it was like you have an interview next week and then found out the next day I was accepted. The process with them goes very quickly. I would suggest calling him, maybe someone else has a different opinion.

Mr. Schriner is about the nicest guy I've ever met (actually the whole admissions dept. is like that). I would not hesitate to call him. Make sure and tell them that OU is your first choice.

BPlato is right. I waited on OU because it was may first choice also (MD or DO). They're a little slow about interviewing but once you interview it's like clockwork.

I called yesterday and spoke to an admissions officer (Mr. Schriner was not there) who was extremely helpful. Turns out that they were waiting for something that I had sent back in July. I re-sent it yesterday and have my fingers crossed that I will get an interview invite soon. The advice was great. I will keep you guys posted on what happens.
