I have a gap year. I'm pretty good with Spanish so will be taking a Spanish course. Is there anything else that might help that you guys can recommend?
Learn to cook simple, nourishing food that is either very quick and/or that can be prepared in large quantities and stored. You can save a ton of money and avoid gaining a ton of weight if you can shop and cook for yourself in a way that is healthful.
Nunchuck skills, bow hunting skills and computer hacking skills would be a good start.
Getting in would be a good skill to work on.
develop a fitness habit now.
Expand your knowledge of ethanol chemistry and female anatomy. 🙂
learn to bake. bringing those goods to share will get you far in med schols

I'm really looking for ideas for things to do and include in my secondaries. But this is a good one nonetheless... any helpful links or books?

Hunting - and bow hunting in particular - is one thing I aimed to do more during my gap year (I used to a lot in HS and early college). Unfortunately I ended up too busy 🙁
Seriously, though, OP - good eating habits and a consistent running/workout routine are life skills that will benefit you in med school and beyond.
Learn how to get laid without wasting a lot of time or effort, you should have taught yourself this.
alcohol makes me vomit and girls make me nervous

Wish I could say it was easy for me, but obviously I'm working on it.
Personal finance.
maybe we'll end up at the same med school some day. I've been looking for someone to do a Ryan Gosling on from Crazy, Stupid, Love
p.s. if you haven't seen the movie I'm referring to. go watch it. underrated comedy flick
for sure cooking, another language, being active/healthy. Also become a good love maker, you don't want people in med school to spread rumors about you being a horrible laid😀
practice your whipple technique.... 🤣
any straight forward anki tutorials? no i haven't tried looking because i figure there are a ton, but the program seems confusing to me a little bit and just didn't know if there was like a "go to tutorial" for anki.
Thanks! I'd let it peter off as I wasn't hearing back much, but I've received a bunch of PMs on it lately and some referrals like this, so I'm planning to go back in and finish up my section on Review settings shortly. After that, if anyone has questions, throw 'em in the Anki Central thread and I'll try to answer them!@mehc012 made a really good guide: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/threads/anki-central.1064361/
