Any SMPs looking at last 60 credits of coursework for admission?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I don't know if there's any SMP that advertises that they can or will look at only the last 60 hours. Generally, SMPs are masters programs that are governed by the graduate admissions requirements of the associated school. Many of those say that you must have a 3.0 minimum to attend. The lowest I've seen is 2.75.

That being said, graduate waivers exist for the right applicant. I had a 2.82 after a 42 credit self directed post bacc and getting it to a 3.0 just wasn't realistic or a good use of time. I took the MCAT and got a 515 and talked to the admissions director of the SMP I was interested in and she outlined how we'd have to proceed. I applied, they granted the waiver and accepted me, now I'm just 2 years and change away from being a doctor.

This is by far the most refreshing and inspiring thing I’ve read on SDN ever. Full stop.

As someone who needs 200+ credits at 4.0 to even reach a 3.0, a financial impossibility, I am heartened to learn a good post-bacc and MCAT can be the reinvention needed to reach my goal. Start my 34 credit SMP soon. Hope it’s enough. Tired of being a paramedic lol.

Hey I'm sort of in the same boat. Not as many credits needed, but still can relate. Can I PM you?
