hi all
i'm a 4th year dental student,,
and i'm really REALLY slow (talking about the clinical work)
it takes me 2 hours to finish 1 class I amalgam, and 4 hours to finish a MOD...

i'm slower than the average in my group(much slower),but my grades are not bad,and the quality of my work is also not bad(what my instructor's say)..
help??

This may be 'out of the blue' for you but one way to improve your speed is to go work in an impoverished clinic in some other country. You can work under a dentist's supervision without a license in most countries and you will see a ton of patients that need fillings or extractions and you get fast. It's not the best learning environment because you are on your own but dental students that I went on a trip with came back the 2nd year and brought their friends because they picked up a lot of speed simply by working on so many patients (beats the 2 patients / day you see in school). Just a thought... I can recommend a group but they are also a ministry. Tons of others are on the net.

Cheers,
Marshall
