Hey guys, I posted my DAT score recently and asked what you guys thought. Here they are again:

AA 20
OC 20
Bio 19
GC 23
QR 16
RC 20
PAT 16

I am a junior right now at loyola new orleans w gpa of 3.95 in my 4 semesters here. I spent one semester (katrina) at northwestern up in chicago and got a 3.2 (C+ in organic). What do you think my chances are for the 2008 cycle?

Assuming you choose your schools wisely, apply early, and do well on the interviews:

solid DAT scores + an excellent gpa = admission.

It's the formula of life.

I'm sure there are a bunch of schools that will you with your current PAT scores, but you're not quite as competitive of an applicant as you would have been with a higher PAT (and QR for that matter). Consider retaking it if you think you can improve those sections without compromising the other sections. Just think about it...

I would say you are in very good standing. Your GPA is awesome and overall your DAT is solid. Yes, your two 16's do hurt you a bit, but I think as long as you have some good shadowing hours under your belt, the rest of your application will make up for those weak spots. The 16's though may weigh heavier on your application at certain schools, so if you have a few schools that you really want to get into, I would call them and see what they suggest. But, in my opinion, apply early and you will get many acceptances. Good luck.
