i thought the app. costs $140 in total no matter how many schools you listMy friend told me Texas schools can see where you apply to and considering it only costs $15 or so to add a school
@iatros13 I live one hour north of Houston 🙂 I took all my post bacc classes at UH.

Ed, yeah I know. I'm working as a scribe right now part time and it seems like every person that walks in to the ER gets a CT and narcos :/ I wonder if it's due to liability?
+1 non-trad Texas resident here. So, TCOM and UTHSCSA are the non-trad friendly schools? Bummer, as I'm not applying to TCOM...hope I can get some love from the others.
Also, can I just say that I am super eager for UT (Austin) to tell us how we can apply? I know they won't find out their accreditation status until this summer, but I just want to know already! I'm guessing they will have us use a separate app, since we can't add to TMDSAS after submitting...?
Good luck to all!
should i even apply to TX schools as a non-resident? i have relatives in TX and want to live in TX - would that be sufficient reasons? 🤐
@Maruko I think it depends on your stats. If you have above average stats for specific Texas schools and/or you have a compelling reason to attend a school I think it's worth a shot. You'd really have to emphasize wanting to practice in Texas. I'm applying out of Texas, too.
Aside from UTH, give some serious thought to UTMB and A&M. You can duo clinical years in Houston for both of those.I'm not a Texas resident (anymore) but I'm applying. I have family in the state and my spouse has some potential job offers in the Houston area. I'd love to apply to Dell too, when it becomes available, but I don't think I'd be able to handle going to a school several hours away from the house. Good luck to everyone!
