Does anyone have any thoughts about OU? Does anyone have first hand knowledge about the school, the program, etc.? Has anybody interviewed there and what was it like? How does it compare to other dental schools?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Their cut off for out of state applicants is September 1. If you're interested in Oklahoma, you need to apply via AADSAS today. Also, I think they require verification for shadowing and a minimum number of shadowing hours.

I think the minimum is 100 hours.

I have already applied there. Now, I just need to find out information from somebody besides the admissions office.

I have gleaned a little information from the few Baylor and UMKC discussions, but there isn't much info on Oklahoma.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

how can you figure this out for other schools other than looking on their websites or calling them?

I was hoping to find someone who:

-goes to the school,
-interviewed at the school,
-knew someone who went to the school,
-graduated from the school, or
-had some other first hand knowledge.

The school's website and admissions office will present the image they want you to see. I want to find out how things really are.

Anyone interviewed there already? How is it?

According to there website the AA for nonresidents is 20, PAT overall is 19. 12 of the 58 admits last year were out of state which has fluctuated between 12, 10,11, and 9 for the past four years and the science GPA for Nonresidents is 3.55....All this info is on the website....hope any of this helps.

\Would you kindly share your gleaned a information of Bayor and other schools with us too? I hope someone will soon reply to you with info on OU, too ...

Thanks in advance!

One of the guys I went to high school with is a D4 there right now. He got accepted after only 3 years of undergrad and he was out-of-stater. He taught the DAT courses for Kaplan and if I remember correctly he had really high stats. Not sure if this helps much but I saw that one of your criteria was "know someone that goes to OU".
