don't know what happened. My post was posted on your visitor's page or something. Here it is again. . . .
Hi there. I did a rotation at UCD for a month because it is my first choice so take it with all it's biases: The residents are mostly happy there. Their curriculum is by rotations as they are elsewhere, the residents don't seem overwhelmed but they are busy for sure. All subspecialties are strong but main attention (famous people) are in Cornea and Glaucoma. Their facilities are in my opinion: great (although was just at Rush and theirs rocked.) Their faculty: great but hotshots so some surgeries are left to them and not the residents if patients ask for that. Clinics are super busy. You start surgeries early in your education, numbers are not a problem. Sacramento is my hometown so I have nothing bad to say about it . .except that you are famous on ophtho forums and I hope you hate it there so I have a chance at matching there. ( = just kidding, hope to see you there and absorb some of your ophtho-ness. oh yeah, have no idea about UAB, did not apply to south.
