I will be working at CVS soon.. but don't think i got enough training..
I heard that there are tons of reports or things to do every day as a pharmacist..OTHER THAN just verifying Rxs..

What are those(PCI, GSR, and many things that I don't even remember) ? and ANY tip to survive?

Thanks in advance.

usually if you have a good lead tech ("SuperTech") theyll take care of a lot of things or at least let you know how the store usually does things. Also depends if your PIC or not (C2 orders etc.)

Saturday the PCI call list updates its Saturday-Sunday and Monday-Wednesday call list along with the consolidation report. These are just outreach calls asking people if they want a refill.

GSR is just a report that updates on Sunday that lets corporate know what percentage of your Rx's are generics.

First fill pick-up deals with stapling a reminder notice to counsel on all first fill medications. This updates daily.

Pick up reminder calls is another report that updates daily which deals with calling the patient and reminding them to pick up their medication.

Thats PCI in a nutshell.

8:00AM - First Fill report

8AM-10AM - Whatever issues from the night before. Clean Queue. Call MD offices for refill requests etc.

9-10A - New Script report. Call pts.

That's my morning schedule usually.

I was waiting for that.

How is it going? We need to create a sticky so you have a place to post updates.

Its going great...The first few months were rough...if any of you start a pharmacy, the first 3 months are rough financially and socially...but we are now on our 4th month...we transfer an average of 3-4 accounts in weekly...each acct is usually 6-10 scripts. the business is self sustained but no salary yet. Every penny we get we throw it back into the store....we should be all set in another 4 months...To me, 8 months of struggling is worth a lifetime of freedom from the chains...
