My worst case if not knowing the topic thus not being able to answer the essay. What should be the plan:laugh:

come to think of it, anyone know one good website that explain the health care system. its problems and possible solutions. I googled but there isnt much on it for some strange reason

Are you talking about the US healthcare system?

Do you live in the US? Do you read the newspaper, get online news????

Have you ever been to a Dr????

Really......I could perhaps understand this if you are a brand new immigrant.....in which case....you have a sponsor - go talk to those folks to get their unique perspective on what its like to be an immigrant in a country you don't understand.

But....if you have lived here all or most of your life....you need to do a bit of homework.

Talk to your folks - ask them about their healthcare insurance. How much does it cost to insure you? (I'm assuming you're very young????) Ask about grandma & how often she needs to see the Dr - how does she pay....How hard is it to get an appt, etc...

Really - you want us to supply the answers, but the schools want to know your take on the issue. There is no "right" or "wrong", but you need to show some incentive to at least learning about the issues.

Sorry for the frank & blunt tone....but, if you want to take on the responsibility of being a pharmacist, you must also become a responsible & thoughtful individual.

Good luck!

My best advice to you is to not worry about the essay topic. There is no way to predict what will be asked. However, I will tell you (i took the pcat for the first time last October) the essay is not that big of a challenge. The challenge is being able to put a cohesive essay together after going through 5 tedious test sections. The essay did not require any specific statistics or information. It's really about the ability to express an opinion in a clear, articulate manner. I received a 4, and my essay did not utilize any specific information, and it wasn't very long. Don't worry, you will do great. 🙂
