Hi everyone!
I have my interview this week at ICO and was just wondering if there were any tricky questions to prepare for? Please help me if you can🙂
Thanks to everyone in advance!

Hey there!

Nothing tricky...PROMISE. The Interview itself is really laid back. They really just want to see that you are personable and can carry on a conversation. They'll obviously ask you Optometry-related questions but nothing you can't handle. But they do a great job of asking you some easy stuff too. Don't worry you'll be fine! Good luck! 🙂

yaaa laid back if you don't get Dr. Colip!!! He was very intimidating, didn't smile the entire interview, made me feel stupid and pointed out all my flaws, so be prepared to explain yourself. He wants to see if you are in for the real deal, or if you are choosing optometry for other reasons...leaving the interview I thought for sure I would be rejected, but I found out I was accepted a week later... so just make sure you can explain yourself, remain composed, and show confidence, because I think that's what he liked about me. I didn't let him get to me, well at least not until after the interview. I'm not trying to be negative, I just think you should be prepared. On the other hand, I talked to other people who were interviewing and one guy said he talked about basketball during his entire interview! Others said their interviews were short and laid back. Just pray you don't get Dr. Colip, because I was in there for an hour while everyone else was waiting on us!! That hour includes the 15 minutes I waited in his office while he was chit-chatting with someone outside of the room. My nerves were going crazy waiting for him, and he didn't even care. Anyways I'm done going on about this, and again, i'm not trying to worry anyone, just preparing you for what could happen. I was given warning about him before my interview and I think it helped me. Good luck to everyone interviewing!
