Had a friend come up to me today with a tooth/jaw issue. I'm a pre-dent, so I'm still a newbie to issues, but she knows I shadow all the time and just asked what I thought. I told her to go see a dentist and don't listen to me so she made an appt. She showed me the problem tho. It's a white patch on her gum line just below the tooth on the buccal side of #30. She says it aches and she feels like there is less bone in the notch in her jaw below #30 than on the other side. No puss, redness or anything oozing. 🙂 Any ideas? I'm going to talk to the dentist I shadow as well, but just wanted to pick all of your brains as well. Thanks!!

my completely wild guess: she probably got a small injury there maybe through brushing. It got infected do to any number of bacteria in the mouth, and it's a canker sore. just brush it and it should go away on its own.

oh an i bet this thread will be closed soon too
