Hello

I am curious if there are any University of Southern Nevada College of Pharmacy students here. I would appreciate hearing any of your thoughts on the school. Thanks!

I wonder if USN gets a ton of applications. They don't require PCAT scores and they don't want any letters of recommendation. That makes it easier on the applicant. I wonder if they even charge a fee for the application.

I think at the interview usn said they had over 1,000 applications last year. The admissions was pretty high, $100

USN had 1500 applicants last year. The application fee was $100, which is comparable to using PharmCas (spelling), and less than that if you consider the supplemental fee a lot of the PharmCas schools charge.

What do they base acceptance on? Is it completely based on GPA? They don't have much else to go by.

Interviews are granted mainly based on GPA, and then acceptances are based on GPA and interview performance.

Interviews are also based on number of prerequisites completed, prior degrees, and other factors, not just GPA. Once you get the interview, that's a pretty big chunk of the overall picture for them too.

Does anyone know what the average GPA was for admitted students to this school?

The mean GPA was 3.68 for 2004. It probably is a little higher now. 😱

1500 applicants sounds high, but I talked to LECOM and they told me last year they had 2100 applicants for 120 seats. This isn't too encouraging.

any schools do not required PCAT i will apply now, my PCAT sux..hopefully my 3.81 will get mesomewhere =\
