I just matched and my employer is looking for someone to work as an assistant physician to replace me. If you might be interested hit me up at 5pointzshy@gmail dot com.
Trying to help them fill the spot.

Thanks

Are you in Missouri? I thought that AP stuff never took off...

I am in Missouri. Been working as an AP for about a year. There are a lot of billing issues, but pracitices are figuring out how to work it out more and more now.

Ozarks, near the huge lake. I will miss fishing while finishing my patient notes when residency starts. 😉

It was suggested to me to add some info about the license itself. It takes about 4-6 weeks to get, the application is cheap, I think it was around $30. I know the price went down, don't know what it runs now.

Get copies of the USMLE transcripts rolling ASAP if you are thinking of doing this and have completed your steps for now. You don't need step 3. You will need this for the application and its one of the things that you will otherwise be stuck waiting on. Same with getting certification of status sent over for any previous medically related licenses.

The jobs are hard to come by. I know there are some urgent cares that pay by the patient. If you get your DOT examiner cert you can do those too, and that helps make you more marketable. I haven't seen any jobs offering really good salaries, but if you need to stay in the clinical ball game for a future match this can help. It helped me.

Just curious, what was the ballpark pay, benefits, and cost of living?

Just today my employer told me she has decided not to replace me for now. Uncertainty about the economy. Sorry for getting anyone's hopes up.
