I just got an interveiw at the U on the 23rd of October. Just wanted to see if anyone else is going out around that time. And if anyone knows how the UW interviews are?

I still haven't heard anything about my app. when did you finish sending back your secondary?

Ive heard the UW is one of the slower schools in the interveiw process. I had a friend last year not get accepted until march!! Just give it time...

Cam-MSU may I ask if you're in WA or out-of-state student, if you don't mind me asking. I just want to see the percentage of out-of-state interview. Thanks

CAM - that's pretty unfortunate. i mean, we're all just trying to get into A dental school right now. imagine coming december we get 2 acceptances, and we have 45 days to respond to each! then imagine that we really wanted to go to washington and we didn't get their acceptance by feb. or march. realistically, no one can wait that long unless they didn't have acceptances before UW contacts them. i think they lose on quality of applicants that way, and some of us lose when we really put UW as one of our top choices.

Or you could just pay a deposit at one, then drop that school when your UW acceptance comes

How much are deposits on average? are we talking about hundreds, or thousands? cuz it could add up...sigh (assuming I get into plenty of schools lol)

If you got multiple acceptances around the same time, why would you hold more then one spot?

Ah, that seems unlikely to happen more then once but i think most deposits are like $500

I am a montana resident, so that gives me WICHE preference which is right below Washington resident. I'm with you guys though, I got a feeling whatever letters are in my hand dec. 1 that will be where I am going. Oh and most deposits are from 1,000 - 3,000. Prob won't be giving too many of those out....

If they've made it to Montana they should have made it to Pullman

does uw accept "most" of it's dental class before dec 1st???

Only about 20 acceptances go out during early December. UW continues to interview candidates through late-Feb/early-March. Most of the spots aren't filled until then, hence it doesn't really matter to the admissions committee when you interview.
