I interviewed on Dec 7th and just got an email from Rose saying that the admissions committee won't be meeting this week as planned. So no word for either of us for at least a week.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I submitted much later than both of you, and I'm just trying to get a feel for how Pitt works.

I sent in the supplemental fee and photo, and haven't received any emails or any confirmations from them.

Did Pitt contact you at any time BEFORE your interview invite? Also, how long did it take them to send you the invite (from the time you e-submitted AADSAS)? Thanks for your input!

pitt didn't contact me at all before the interview invite. i submitted my aadsas at the beginning of august but i retook the dat in september so i dont think my app was considered complete until the beginning of october. I got an interview invite email from Rose on october 5th. hope that helps!

I submitted my application on June 6th. I got an email with "application received" on August 28th. I received an interview invite on October 6th and scheduled it for October 19th.

Oct 6; scheduled for Dec 7. That was the first contact I had with them. But like I said, I was informed that the Admissions Committee didn't meet last week to make any decisions on the Dec 7 interviewees. I imagine that this would be priority for them, then they would move onto the other competitive files that they have already interviewed...and perhaps files that have not yet been reviewed. Just a guess, but nothing can happen without the AC meeting! Keep your pants on! There is still plenty of time to receive an invite.

My AADSAS status has been saying "Received/Application Complete" since 10/8 and still no word from Pitt. I tried calling and e-mailing Rose, but no luck with a response. Anticipation sucks.

wow, consider yourself lucky, Pitt doesn't even have a status on my AADSAS yet 🙁

Anyone here can help me??? My status for Pitt was changed to "received/Under Review" from "invited for interview." On 11/30, the status changed to "invited for interview" and on 12/17, the status changed to "received/under review."

After learning from aadsas status that I was invited for interview, I called/left voice mails and emailed Pitt but, I didn't get any type of response. And I still haven't gotten any response yet. What should I do? Does that mean that they take away my interview invite??? 🙁

How can I reach them? Every time I called, it went straight to voicemail and I don't get any returned calls. 🙁 I emailed rose too but, didn't get any response either. Any advice on this situation??? I don't know what I should do at this point...

You probably won't get a response until after New Year's. I got an email interview invite and it says to respond for which day you want to come...then it says wait for an email AFTER January 4th, meaning that they are probably closed for the holidays. However, I think some people will decline their interview offer since some people already got accepted to the school they want to go to. I'm going to decline my interview offer, so there is at least one more open spot! 🙂 Good luck!

I think you might be the victim of an unfortunate AADSAS glitch which changed the status for almost everyone who applied at all to "invited for interview" for a few days. This happened last year too, and my status was even changed to "Offer Rescinded," at which point I almost had a stroke, ha.

Definitely get a confirmation from Rose about this, but in talking with her last week, she said they were having some problems with this again. Sorry 🙁
