I could have sworn that I read on here the board was meeting on February 18 to make more decisions about HPSP. Is there some sort of lag period from then until we are notified? My recruiter (San Diego) said I should know by the end of February, but now he is gone this week on MEDCRUIT, so I won't be able to contact him until next Monday, the 7th. I have a feeling he knows something I don't because he has really gotten on me to get my physical done, even though MEPS is the one that screwed up my paperwork. I got all required forms back to them within 24 hours of their request... just a freaking mess of hurry up n' wait (like much of the military from what I hear lol).

Let me know if you guys have heard back or if it was true about the board meeting on the 18th, because that is a LONG lag period just to be notified of their decision. You think it would be next day, or at the most 2 days...

I just received word from my recruiter on Thursday that my application has made it through the 1st of 3 boards that met on Feb 18. He says I am Professionally Recommended to receive the Scholarship. On the phone he told me that the other two boards are just paperwork and that this means I will be getting the scholarship. The 4 yr Navy HPSP btw.

Ok cool, thanks for letting me know. Since my recruiter was gone all week, I will hopefully know tomorrow when I give him a call.

Congrats btw!!!

Which service are you asking about - Navy or Army - the boards are run totally seperate from each other.

I'm referring to Navy. Just got off the phone with my recruiter and he said the boards have not yet met and made the decisions, so that may be what you're referring to. I was under the impression that they met on February 18, but I guess not. As soon as I hear back, I will be "Professionally Recommended" or not, and if I am, my medical and security background check will be pushed forward for finalization. I was initially told I would know by the end of February, but a few more weeks or a month isn't too bad considering the anxiousness we went through awaiting dental school decisions huh?
