I received a letter from Penn at least a month ago .. also.

*nod* Penn is one of the top dental schools in the country and they look beyond stats, they made it very clear to me when I called them back in May. No one should just expect an interview from any school considering the quality of applicants this cycle.

I figure they like applicants who are balanced and not just some another person with wicked stats and that's it (The admissions people told me they've rejected people with 3.8s). I didn't think my application was strong compared to many of you guys, but I got an invite about a week after my app was mailed out. This could also be due to the fact that I'm applying as a Canadian citizen and they seek a geographically diverse student base... Looking forward to visiting the campus as Penn is one of my top choices. Also I submitted my application in the beginning of June... Penn might be swamped with applications right now, could explain the delay in response.

Just kidding.... there must have been something other than your stats for sure...
I have slightly better stats merely based on what u wrote on predents... but well... maybe its not just the stats...
u must have something valuable...
