Anybody else on the "continue to be reviewed" list at Penn State..has anybody gotten off the list and offered an interview? Thanks.

think we can send any additional information, from the letter I received, it seemed like we could not, or that i would not matter. I wish they would give us some idea as to how many people are put on hold and how many are simply rejected. At least i could have some idea of my chances to get an interview.

add me in that category as well, i got the letter from penn state a few weeks ago, sucks, oh well. i really don't think there is anything we can do, just wait, i guess. anyway, good luck!

this is terrible. Either give us an interview or not. I don't get it.

I got it too. I think its OK. At least its better than being left in the dark until april and then getting flat rejected.

Got it too a few weeks ago. However, I don't think it means much. When I first submitted my AMCAS, there was a delay before I could access Penn State's secondary. Being placed on the "continue to review" list is just another symptom of their slowness and bureaucratic mess.

But what is tough to handle is they have reviewed my application, they should know whether or not im "qualified" to be a student at their school, that is why i don't get hold lists. They make no sense.

has anybody called up and ask about our chances of actually getting an application. Also, do you think this is just a way to hold on to our application to bit longer in order to review them due to the problems they have been having? thanks

Hi all,

When was everyone on this thread complete at Penn State? I am just wondering b/c maybe my situation can offer some insight. I was complete at PSU at the very beginning of Sept and I got an interview offer from them about 3 weeks ago. I too had the AMCAS delay problem about the time I was waiting for the secondary. I interview there this week, if that helps anyone with a timeline... I agree though, they have been slower about things, and I've heard they recently lost one of their office staff members, so that has probably put a cramp in things as well... good luck to everyone though!!

i too was also complete early sept....

but dri rules and jlee drools so i get to be in the "we dont know about you yet" pile 😉

i didnt know that Penn State's football stadium was called Happy Stadium or something like that. pretty cool.

anyways. i think its gonna be a while if any of us get off this designation. so lets just have a drink and chill "to the next episode"

There was someone in my interview group last week who mentioned that he got the hold to Penn State. He was shocked because his stats were much higher then their averages. Look at this way, at least it's not a rejection.

but I think this refers to the area, but it is used affectionately for the stadium. I dont think they can be too "happy" with a losing record! Maybe some Penn Staters can enlighten us!

It's Beaver Stadium, but that's in State College, PA (Undergrad campus) about two hours away from the medical school in Hershey.

You know, I applied to PSU randomly and I was complete 10/6...Last week I received a letter dated 10/20 that I got an interview...I almost peed in my pants. 🙂

Last year, my friend got off the hold for interview list--so they do look at that list. But they look at it a little later...I think she got off that list either in late january or february...she got accepted, by the way.
