I was just curious if anybody here got into Med School with only 90 credit hours, or if you know of anybody. I know it probably never happens, but a lot of med schools websites say the minimum is 90 hours.

Just wondering...

I applied on August 31, 2005 with 91 credits, interviewed at 6 schools between January-April 2006, and was accepted without updating my academic record (although the schools were all aware that I took courses full-time in the Fall and Spring semesters). I ended up with 132 credits. I think it really is possible to get in with the minimum, but you had better explain that you're currently taking a full load (or are busy) and that you can matriculate in the year you're applying for.

From my experience, and anecdotal stuff from others, GPA and MCAT are more important than credit hours/semester and total credit hours.

I'm pretty sure that you need a bachelor's degree before you matriculate at any school (or you need to have completed all courses required, even if you don't literally have the physical degree in your fist).
