Isn't November 15th the first notification date for non EDP applicants?!?!?!


I just realize that if that is true.... I will either be really happy or really depressed on my BIRTHDAY!

Either way I figure it will be a memorable birthday. Or not...depending on if my reaction of joy or anger involves alcohol.

It is if you're a Texas resident applying to TMDSAS schools only.

From what I have seen, October 1st is decision delivery date for early decision candidates.

October 15th is the earliest date for regular applicants.

I will apply EDP (hopefully) so it looks like I am saved from a possibly traumatic birthday.

While getting accepted on your birthday would be cool...it would only be slightly better than another day. However, getting rejected on your birthday would be exponentially worse.

To clear up a misconception I have seen on SDN:

October 1st is not "the day on which EDP dates hear". October 1st is the day by which all EDP candidates must have heard if their school was cruel enough to wait for the last possible day to tell them- which is not usually the case if you apply at a normal time in the cycle. Many people heard in July, for example.

Apparently October 17th is the new October 15th. At least this year.

Last year it was the 15th (not too common) 16th or the 18th.
