anybody heard from Howard.

I also called the office of admissions last week and they gave me the same "green card" answer. The lady I spoke to was kinda rude also. I don't recalling receiving any green card, so I guess I will just have to wait. I hope they get their act together soon.
 
I got all three green cards but that isn't helping me right now. Do you think it will increase or decrease competition the fact that they are delayed? Some people might have to take other offers, since Howard is so slow, but also those who are not accepted anywhere else will be banking on Howard. I guess it's just something to think about. They are the rudest school that I have talked to so far.
 
I'm still waiting, with bated breath, to hear from them too. I've tried calling and emailing the admissions office to no avail.

I did, however, call my interviewer (he gave me his card after the interview and told me to call him with any questions) to ask about my status. After the interview, I mailed my secondary application directly to him, to make sure that it ended up in someone's hands (did you see the stacks of files in the admissions office???). In any case, he said that he had received it and that I should be hearing something soon. 😳

I haven't heard anything from then since sending in my secondary. I've gotten the green card from my pre-med committee letter, but nothing else.
 
I interviewed on October 9th and hope to hear something soon. This process definitely requires a lot of patience. I pray that I get in soon so that I can start planning my move to D.C.
 
did anyone receive anything from Howard saying their file is complete? I know they have received my rec. letter, but I never got anything saying that they have everything they need. (and I'm wondering if it would do much good to call!)
 
I got that my file was complete and that all my letters of rec. were in but have heard nothing since then. I hope they are going to be interviewing for a while.
 
hmm...maybe I should call them then. thanks!..now to prepare for the tongue lashing i'm about to recieve from the admissions office 😱

I just received an interview invitation for either February 12, 13, 19, or 20. The only problem is that I decided not to apply to this school and never returned their secondary. At least it shows that they are still offering interviews. I hope you guys hear from them soon.

Hi..... since you didn't apply to this school and they sent out an interview date can you please call and decline the interview but tell them they should instead give the date to me 🙂 They already have my information on file.( I will send you information via PM) let me know what happens. 🙂

Do any of you know anyone who has been accepted at Howard yet? If so, when did they find out? I'm just a bit curious. I called them back in December and they said that they hadn't started accepting people yet. Then I called them in mid January, they said that they have started accepting people. Anyway, let me know if any of you have any info : )
 
Haven't heard a word from Howard yet -- secondary was sent in November.
 
They have sent a few acceptances. I interviewed there in december and withdrew my application soon after. Look on the interviewfeedback website and some people posted remarks about getting accepted.
 
Just got an invitation to interview there, yaaay!
 
Just out of curiousity what are the stats for individuals that have gotten into Howard and also is Howard a predominantly African American College?

I finally got an interview invite from Howard. I was quite surprised since I completed my application since Oct but sent in my secondary with a personal check only to find out that they do not process applications sent with personal checks. I just them a money order in Jan along with two letters of interest (one to the dean and the other to someone else....I can't remember who), now I have an interview with them. I still didn't get that "green card" they seem to be sending out. :clap:
 
interview invitations are sent via snail mail, but i was able to scheudle my interview via email.
 
I got my letter thru regular mail. At first I thought it was rejection letter because the envelope was just soo thin, as I do with all other schools letters I tried to look through the envelope to see if I can see the "Dear applicant, sorry that we couldn't blah blah blah" but then I saw something that looked like a Map/Directions.....I knew it was an interview offer after that so I quickly ripped the darn thing open. :clap:
 
WTF is wrong with Howard?!!! I called their office a few weeks ago, only to be told by a very rude lady to wait for a letter. I turned in my secondary months ago. Finally, today I got a letter from Howard. Get this...it was a request for a secondary application!! And on top of that, they had enclosed my completed secondary application, along with my photo and the application fee check!!!

Oh well. This negro won't be attending one certain school this fall.
